My first confession....I am a sucker for consignment!!! 

So today I went to a hotel liquidation warehouse. I first want to say a little disclosure...the neighborhood is definitely a little sketchy and if you go anytime soon its freezing in the warehouse. 

The store gets hotel furniture and accents from 4 and 5 star hotels when they redecorate. Today, I bought the pearl lamp and the beige one with brown details. They also have lamp shades that come with the lamps but you really have to search for ones that look new...anyway the lamps were $10 each. I also picked up the mirror for $30. Now I'm not the best at it but you can negotiate prices with them. If you love quality consignment like me go to Williams Warehouse, 4719 Addison Rd, Capital Heights, MD 20743.

So I got a new car a month ago... Well it's a used car but new to me:-)
This is suppose to be my car since I have to carry the baby around with the stroller, diaper bag, etc...
My hubby has driven the suv waaaaay more than me. He leaves early for work so I never know he takes it....I'm hiding the keys tonight :-)

Diaper dilemma...is this the twilight zone???

Cvs has a sale on pampers and since those are the only other diaper that my son doesn't overflow I jumped at the chance to get the jumbo box for 18.99. I went to the cvs closest to me in glover park....no size three boxes there! Ok it happens...went to the one about a mile away on wisconsin ave....no "baby dry" just "cruisers"....my little one is not cruising yet so I'll pass on those. Ok so I'm totally frustrated and cold now...this has to be the coldest day EVER! Since I only had 2 diapers left at home I had to get some somewhere...ok i tried one more cvs. This one is on Connecticut ave....still no "baby dry"!!!
Well...I bought them and now my baby is in "cruisers" but totally chillin. What's up with all the babies in dc wearing a size 3!!

In the beginning.....

So I talk to myself quite frequently and if you ask my family I give more than enough unsolicited advice. I've never blogged before but my sister suggested that I should start...here we go!
My vision for this blog is to be a little like a potluck dinner..I want to bring in a little fashion, a little financial advice and a little day in the life of me being a mom and wife. Hopefully when you read this it won't upset your stomach as much as the mixture of burritos, eggplant Parmesan and chitterlings.
